Jatoil is a new company formed to pursue opportunities in the emerging markets for biodiesel and biodiesel feedstock. Biodiesel is a renewable and non-toxic alternative to diesel derived from petroleum sources, and can be used as a direct or blended replacement for petrodiesel with little or no modification. Whereas burning petrodiesel releases ancient carbon into the atomosphere, the carbon of Jatoil's biodiesel will be captured form the atmosphere by growing jatropha plants, making it a potent weapon in the fight against climate change.
