Indian Oil seeks 50,000 acres for Jatropha cultivation in Uttar Pradesh - India

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), India's largest oil marketing company, is seeking to acquire 50,000 hectares of wasteland in Uttar Pradesh for plantation of jatropha, karanja and other none-edible oilseeds used for biodiesel production, such as jatropha and karanjia, that are used for biodiesel production.
